Greetings, friends!

We hope this note reaches you in good spirits. As we bid farewell to 2025, we’re grateful for many happy memories from this year.

  • Ian (Wan Xiao-An) is a joyous, active, and creative 9.5 year old. He loves LEGO, Minecraft, pottery, science, animals, and fun facts. He’s thriving at Berkwood Hedge School – favorite classes include woodshop and Latin. This year, he went snorkeling for the first time and saw two turtles, a bunch of humuhumunukunukuapua’a, and a puffer fish! His enthusiasm for life inspires us every day.

  • Jessica’s in her third year of running her executive coaching business, working mostly 1:1 with leaders in the arts, nonprofit, tech, and other sectors, and also coaching part-time with Raisewell Ventures and Teams@Haas. She released Season 4 of The Ampersand Manifesto, co-hosted in-person summits in SF and NYC, and is now co-leading an online community called The Cohort. She performed a solo recital, The Moon & Me, which now exists on YouTube and Spotify. This year, she also joined the Board of Trustees of Ian’s school, deadlifted more than her body weight, and invested in her first Broadway musical: Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)!

  • John is still happily teaching computer science and data science at Berkeley and has now been playing clawhammer banjo for over a year. Here's a 30-second Christmas song:

  • Sesame held her very first Office Hours for EECS students on the Glade. She received 5-star reviews.

Thank you for being a part of our lives. Wishing you a wonderful start to 2026!
